David Sajecki is the Managing Partner and a Co-Founder at Sajecki Planning. He has directed and managed projects for a variety of public and private-sector clients. David’s diverse and extensive project experience includes urban design guidelines, growth management strategies, municipal-wide Zoning By-law reviews, Secondary Plans, master plans, transportation infrastructure planning and design, development feasibility studies, development approvals, mediation, and OLT / TLAB expert witness testimony.

Prior to his time at Sajecki Planning, David worked at Brook McIlroy Inc. where he was an Associate and Director of the firm’s Transportation Studio. The goal of the studio was to develop solutions that focus on the interconnections between land use planning, transportation planning and urban design. Working closely with designers, planners and engineers; the studio developed progressive, integrated solutions to address complex urban challenges aimed at advancing transit-oriented communities. David has also served as the first Senior Advisor for the Union Pearson Express and within Metrolinx’s Strategic Policy and Systems Planning department. He has also worked as a Development Manager for the Province of British Columbia.

David is a Registered Professional Planner, a Member of both the Canadian Institute of Planners and the Ontario Professional Planners Institute, and a LEED Accredited Professional. In addition, he is a Member of Lambda Alpha International and a Founding Member of the Vancouver Island Green Building Council.

David holds both a Master of Urban and Regional Planning and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil Engineering from Queen’s University, as well as a Diploma in Urbanization and the Environment from Fudan University in China.
