Mississauga council has approved a new 18-storey seniors complex just south of Heartland Town Centre.

City council approved the 500-unit facility at 5510 Mavis Rd., which was proposed by the Yee Hong Centre for Geriatric Care, at a March 23 meeting.

Plans for the development include two towers, one 18 storeys and the other 13 storeys, with a seven-storey podium and 500 units aimed at seniors in various life stages.
