In 2020 Sajecki Planning Inc. was retained, as a sub-consultant to StrategyCorp, by the Township of Ramara to conduct a Ward Boundary Review ahead of the 2022 municipal election. The objective of the Review was to ensure that Ramara’s ward boundaries continue to provide a system of effective and equitable representation for all residents, while providing options that accommodate projected population growth to 2030.

Sajecki Planning Inc. provided land use planning services and undertook geospatial analysis to support the creation of new ward boundary options. The Review began with an in-depth analysis of current land uses to determine an estimate of the existing population within each existing ward. Subsequently, Sajecki Planning Inc. worked with StrategyCorp and the Township to determine growth scenarios and mapped projected population growth to 2030. Based on these projections, new ward boundary options were mapped and presented to the public for feedback before being considered by Council.

Council adopted one of the ward boundary options, which will remain in effect for the 2022, 2026 and 2030 municipal elections
