In 2015 Sajecki Planning Inc. was retained by the City of Brampton and Brampton Transit, in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary consultant team, to undertake a comprehensive study of Downtown Brampton and the Queen Street corridor and determine their capacity to support planned bus rapid transit infrastructure.

The Study resulted in the preparation of a detailed Master Plan for the Downtown Brampton Mobility Hub. Outside of Downtown Brampton, the study resulted in the delineation of 15 additional Major Transit Station Areas along the length of the Queen Street corridor. For each Major Transit Station Area, a detailed Community Plan was prepared to identify appropriate locations for intensification, as well as transitions in height, scale, massing and use to support the creation of complete communities and a high-quality public realm.

The Master Plan and Community Plans each incorporated a series of Framework Plans, and corresponding development yields to demonstrate how the City of Brampton can achieve provincially mandated population and employment targets.
