Christina Borowiec
Planner and GIS Analyst
Christina Borowiec is a Planner and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Analyst at Sajecki Planning Inc. She is a Ph.D. Candidate in Spatial Analysis and Geography at McMaster University, and holds a Master of Urban Planning from Toronto Metropolitan University as well as a Bachelor of the Arts in Geography and Environmental Studies from McMaster University. Christina is a LEED Green Associate and a Provisional Member of both the Canadian Institute of Planners and the Ontario Professional Planners Institute. She is also a Member of the Transportation Research Board and the American Association of Geographers. Christina has expertise in the visualization of land use, demographic and transportation-related data and planning policies. In addition to her work at Sajecki Planning, Christina is a Sessional Instructor, Researcher, and GIS Analyst at McMaster University’s School of Earth, Environment, and Society.
Christina has supported on projects for a variety of public and private sector clients. Her diverse project experience includes municipal-wide Zoning By-law reviews, Secondary Plans, growth management strategies, data and asset mapping exercises, resource sharing exercises, network profile studies, development feasibility studies, and development approvals.
