Sajecki Planning welcomes Planner, Intern
Sajecki Planning Inc. is pleased to welcome Salma Abdalla and Diane Kim.
Salma Abdalla joins us as a Planner. She holds a Master of Planning in Urban Development from Toronto Metropolitan University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies from York University. Having spent her formative years travelling across the Middle East, Salma has a passion for planning and engagement methods centered on diverse cultural interests, and the collective process of placemaking and community development. She has a particular interest in the intersection between access, well-being, migration, and belonging as well as the deployment of qualitative, participatory, arts-based and alternative data-gathering methods. In addition to her work at Sajecki Planning Inc., Salma is a Research Assistant at Toronto Metropolitan University’s Health, Access and Planning (HAP) Lab.
Diane Kim joins us as a Planning Intern. She holds a Bachelor of Environmental Studies in Planning from the University of Waterloo, and has been accepted into the Master of Urban Design program at the University of Toronto. Diane has a passion for social justice and equity, and applying this lens to the planning and design of public spaces. She has a particular interest in the intersection between placemaking initiatives, public engagement, Indigenous rights and reconciliation, and urban design.
