As discussed in Wednesday’s NRU, on December 6th, Newmarket Committee of the Whole adopted Official Plan Amendment 37 (OPA 37) to amend the Town’s Official Plan by updating policies around what constitutes a complete development application, as well as permitting delegated authority for approval of temporary use by-laws and the removal of holding provisions. Both changes were recommendations that emerged out of Sajecki Planning’s Development Application Review. This follows from the June 26, 2023, Newmarket Committee of the Whole meeting, which endorsed 22 recommendations identified by Sajecki Planning in their Development Application Process (DAP) Review.
